Day 6 of the NYC heatwave: a pleasant way to cool off
The forecast thunderstorm and following cooler air coming down from Canada went around the city last night. But it should be "only" 31 today (26 now at 6 am) and in the high 20's all next week. Hopefully less humid. We went for a picnic in Central Park last evening, and the boys loved watching the radio controlled boats on Conservatory Water.

Day 4 of the latest heat wave
Hit 36C today and still 34C at 9pm and we have 3 AC's going (of course ConEd doubles the electricity rate in summer; there better not be a blackout). Not quite Bronte beach, but Maxi still found a way to stay cool,at the local playground

A day at the farm
This weekend we rented a minivan and went to Brooklyn Children's Museum on Saturday, which they loved, and Queens County Farm Museum on Sunday, which they weren't so sure about (especially the cows). It's very hot again - 2nd heat wave (3 or more days in a row above 30C) of the month, and a part from a few thunderstorms kate has had great hot weather.

Kate, Max and Frankie arrive in NYC
The trip was horrific as expected with only 4 hrs sleep, but they were revived by a bowl of Monica's spag bol on Friday night, then a cup of Aussie coffee at Toby's in Williamsburg on Saturday morning followed by a trip to Dumbo
