Brooklyn Piers
Yesterday we caught the ferry to Dumbo but as well as going to the Jane's carousel we headed west along the waterfront towards Pier 6. On the way is the old navy vessel you can make a free tour of. A transporter during the Vietnam War, the IX 514 is now used to train the pilots who take tourists on sight seeing flights over the City. They land their helicopters on the deck which is about the size of a tennis court. Xave enjoyed it, but found some
of it a bit scary and he isn't ready for a day on the USS Intrepid Museum yet. By the way, it didn't end up raining.

Ready for the big one
We won't be able to watch the game live: Fox is showing it on one of their channels that our cable provider does not carry. We would need a $20/month subscription to Fox Soccer 2 Go to watch it online, and that would just be too politically incorrect. So we will watch it from Kate's TV in Sydney via FaceTime. We would trade off another 43 years in the wilderness for victory tomorrow. Glory Glory to South Sydney.
