US Open tennis: like Coney Island & Puerto Rican day parade, never again

The stadium is at Flushing in Queens, 2 subway trips from the Upper East Side, along side where Shea Stadium used to be and near LaGuardia airport

our $66 tickets really were up in the 'nose bleed' section. it was cool and breezy: lucky a friend told us be sure to bring a jacket.

not only were we seated a long way from the action, but the constant of stream of people going back and forward to the bar while the matches were in progress was very frustrating
