postcard from historic Manchester UK

Paul had a conference there on thursday; he was there for 48 hrs, then back to NYC

1. "Chancellors" conference center at Manchester Uni's Fallowfield Campus, just 3 miles from the city center. i think it is what Basil Fawlty hoped Fawlty Towers would be like

2. in the high street of Manchester

3. Town Hall

4. ruins of Roman fort

5.Bridgewater Canal

  1. the skies are as grey as I remember. some things never change

  2. and the roads are just as crowded. apparently manchester became the birth place of the industrial revolution because the cool damp climate made it perfect for processing cotton.
