#580. Coney Island

Last weekend was beach weather so we caught the subway out to the famous Coney Island, on the southern shore of Brooklyn and just to the west of JFK airport. 25 stops and about an hour from Midtown on the B,F,N or Q train. Obviously it's not Bondi,but it was a fun day which wouldn't be complete without a hotdog from Nathan's on the boardwalk. we also visited the New York Aquarium (crowded and boring) as Xavi is quite fascinated by sea creatures at present.

The water was surprisingly warm for June, felt like about 20 but we didn't go right in. Not sure when they ever have rips.
