2013 Oscars fever

The Academy Awards ceremony begins at 8. 30 pm (12.30pm Sydney time) but right now you can watch celebs arriving on the red carpet. Thanks to flying to Syd & back WITHOUT XAVI, I caught up on most of the movies, once Qantas got their inflight entertainment system working which was about halfway to Honolulu. My favorite (Searching for Sugarman) isn't nominated unless its in the foreign movies category but of the mainstream ones, I definitely liked 'Zero Dark Thirty' best and, despite all the controversy surrounding it, it's my tip for best movie and best female. Here is the trailer. Also thought 'Argo' was pretty good and one of our 6 am running friend's brother was one of the hostages. However the ending was a bit silly (spoiler alert!) and great acting by DDL (?best male) in 'Lincoln' but the movie is a bit long & slow unless your a Civil War afficionado like Bob Carr. I would recommend all three. Did'nt see Silver Linings Playbook.

Guess who's 20 months this week

Still Downunder enjoying his Indian summer and having fun hanging out with Maxi. Not sure what they were thinking... still crazy about cars, tractors, back hoes, and beach buggies

Another reason why Monica was smart to delay her return to NYC....

Quite chilly here today (note "RealFeel")...

why Monica delayed her travel plans - in 3 simple pictures

Winter storm Nemo from space - looks like Hurricane Sandy but up to 40 inches (1 metre) of snow instead of rain

they got 22 inches (50 cm) in Boston; we got a foot (30 cm) in NYC

mean while, some where on Australia's east coast...
